Description:
Voice-to-text personal letter from Petitioner Adrienne Rockenhaus to Respondent Conrad Rockenhaus,
dated December 22, 2025, approximately sixty (60) days before the ex parte PPO filing of February 20,
2026. Composed via voice-to-text, as Petitioner explains in the letter, due to hand pain. Mailed to
Respondent during his federal incarceration at FCI Milan. The letter is uniformly affectionate and
contains no grievance content.
Relevance:
This contemporaneous personal communication from Petitioner to Respondent, dated 60 days before
the PPO filing, is directly inconsistent with the fear narrative the petition advances. Petitioner explicitly
disclaims grievance (“we don't think any of this is your fault”), expresses present-tense affection (“I love
you so much, Conrad”; “You mean everything to me”), describes shared domestic life (“Toro and
Autumn seem to know, they curl up in your spots and look at me like they're waiting for you too”), and
discusses specific future plans together with Respondent (“dancing, walks with Toro or just sitting
watching Maury with Autumn purring between us”). The letter is offered as a contemporaneous
statement of Petitioner's then-existing state of mind under MRE 803(3).
