Order Regarding Alternate Service
Description:
Court order entered in Case 26-102221-PP authorizing Respondent Conrad Rockenhaus to serve
Petitioner Adrienne Rockenhaus with Respondent's pleadings, including the Motion to Terminate the
Personal Protection Order, through specified alternate methods. The order includes service through
designated agents acting on Respondent's behalf. The order was sought and granted because
Petitioner had been evading standard personal service of Respondent's filings.
Relevance:
This order establishes Ann Helgren's status as a court-authorized agent for service of Respondent's
filings on Petitioner. Petitioner's later characterization of Helgren's court-authorized service activity as
“harassment” is therefore directly contradicted by the existence and terms of this order. The order
additionally documents that Petitioner had been evading personal service of Respondent's pleadings,
which is the predicate for the alternate-service order itself. The pattern, in which Petitioner first
obstructs lawful service of Respondent's pleadings on her, requiring entry of an alternate-service order,
and then characterizes the court-authorized alternate service ultimately effected through a designated
agent as “harassment,” is itself probative of bad-faith use of the Personal Protection Order as a
litigation instrument.
